Day 1 of our Cosplay Special - Kagome Week.

In this new series, we tried to reduce the makeup for Kagome to a minimum. Main reason for this is the fact that Kagome is a very natural girl not really wearing makeup, so we choosed to get a "real" and more nude look (f.ex. only natural eyelashes) instead of fancy and cute manga eyes. Hope my ideas worked out in the end..

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactWell, I was hesitant to offer a critique and here is why: You look like an old girl friend of mine that I dated in college before the Great Flood. I am not up on Cosplay and don't quite understand this very active subculture.
HOWEVER
I do have a degree in Theatre so I have a pretty solid background in costuming.
I have a herd (count 6) daughters who are feeding me endless anime episodes much like Malcolm McDowell in Clockwork Orange strapped to a chair with my eyes force open to watch.
My current favorite is Knights of Sidonia.
I Do like Inuyasha very much--it has well...a DOG! what's not to like and it's got some pretty complex characters and story lines.
I think you have the perfect face for Kogame and body type. The costume is perfect and I think you were very wise to move away from overdoing make up and going for a more natural look. She is a very sexy character but not in the way of, say, a Jessica Rabbit. Her appeal is innocence and a mothering tenderness that she exudes toward all of the other characters.
I looked at the other images as well. You seem to have a very good understanding of her. Thanks for posting this. It is very nice to see someone put such thought into interpretive art.
